Vacuum Form help

So i'm going to do my first ever attempt at vacuum forming for my Daft punk helmets. I'm building the home kit for the 12x18 size and i saw there are multiple thicknesses of the PETG plastic. So i was wondering which thickness would be best to use for helmet visors. Because i don't want to go too thin and have it break or go too thick and have it be too heavy or not be able to see through it.

I would use about 1.5 - 2.0mm petg
