ULTIMATE Jurassic Park 1993 Ford Explorer (Tour Vehicle)

Awesome man, when I reach a point in my life where I am financially stable I will either make myself one these or one of the jeeps!

I considered doing a jeep but I just couldn't bring myself to buy one due to the problems they have. Their resell value is amazing though.

I didn't know there was problems with the jeeps? I was thinking about it, one of the modified Mercedes from The Lost World would be cool and you don't see very many of those.

Rusting, general unsafeness, and I've read of issues with them mechanically. I guess it just depends on how you are going to use it!

This is the ultimate dream vehicle for me, what an awesome build! Good luck with the bubble I can't wait to see it!

Some minor updates. As you can see, all of the logos and moudling have been put on and I found some 'close enough' tail light guards until I can find the SA ones. The brush guard is also in the process of getting modified to fit the car and be more square until I can find the SA one.

And a more professional shot of it along with a SPAS-12 shotgun as seen in the movie.

The colors look slightly off in some of the pictures due to lighting but in person it looks almost exactly as it does in the color correct shots of the film.
I will take more professional looking shots of the explorer once it's closer to being finished but for now I am just using my phone. I actually do video work for a living but my equipment is just too time consuming to set up.

Seats are complete. All that's left now are the center console/monitors, dash and door panels for the interior. I'm also have custom rugs with the jurassic park logo on them made. The front seats have removable headrests to use when driving. So far, this Explorer is the only replica in the world with screen accurate seats! Some of the stitching is slightly off from the originals but they're about 98% accurate.

The bumpers and grill are getting painted this week as well as the brush guard put on- The exterior will pretty much be complete except for the bubble roof which is last on the list of things to do.

By the way, if any of you are interested in seeing more pictures and progress I've started a facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jurassic-Park-Tour-Vehicle-04/1568731930043987

Bumpers and grill are now painted. Next I will be putting on the 'close enough' brush guard until I can find the screen accurate one. I also need to paint the hood spotlight and put it on which shouldn't be too difficult. After that, I will be heavily focusing on the interior and getting the bubble roof made.

Looks great so far! Im gonna take a guess and say you dont live in California? .........I keep my SPAS 12 at my parents safe in Utah.

This....this is just amazing. In my nearly 30 years, there have been four vehicles I've always wanted:

1) The Millennium Falcon
2) An X-Wing
3) The TMNT Van
4) A Jurassic Park Jeep

The child inside of me is squealing in delight and jealousy. Great job and congrats on a fantastic ride!

Yeah, seems like the only thing you're missing is the odd banding strips down the middle.

Still they look really good, I think most people don't realise the extent to which the interior of the car was modified for the movie.
