UA 571-c airsoft sentry gun build

hi all
started building the ua 571-c sentry gun from 'aliens'. the idea is to make it track targets via a webcam, using servo's for pan and tilt movement, a mosfet for firing the airsoft gearbox and a soundcard for the tracking noise and gun fire.all run from a program on a laptop and hopefully can be manually operated using a joystick. still a long way off and not much to show yet as im still gathering parts, but have started from the ground up with the tripod.i think it will be a long running project but should be fun IF it goes to plan.

Where do you plan to get the softair MG42???

no need to get a full airsoft mg42, just going to use a m249 saw gearbox with a box mag internals to feed it. started on the main body, this thing is going to be quite big.

But in case you want to go that extra mile, contact matsuo!
He´ll be able to provide the muzzle and maybe even just the short MG42 section sticking out at the front of the sentry gun.

im hoping to build the front end from aluminium as im a mechanical engineer, but will keep him in mind if needed, thanks marcus.

small update. got the rear feet done and top of the shaft with pipe attached.
