Ok so, I really HATE making this post but I've got to get this off my chest.
For you guys & gals that are into horror movie type props, stay away from Tyler.
This guy who I once called a friend and who does excellent work judging by the pieces that I already have from him but he has really screwed me on our latest trade.
I mentioned Logan (my son) being into the "Puppet Master" movies and Tyler approached me saying that he had a few copies of the screen used head for "Blade", a character in the films..
Well, after talking more with Tyler, he said that he could make an entire puppet replica for Logan....so, we agreed on a price and Tyler tells me that it would take "about four days"...so on the 15th of Sept. I sent him a money order for the amount thinking this would make an AWESOME gift for Logan's birthday.
Well, here it is Nov. 17th and STILL no puppet replica! I've emailed, PM'ed and text Tyler for info....sometimes he would reply, most of the time he wouldn't. When he would reply, I got the typical excuses like "I'm just running behind", "I've got a heavy work load" etc...and of course the promises to get it out the following weekend with a few extras to make up for the amount of time that it's taken.....I don't care about extras, I just want what I paid for!!
Anyway, the last I heard from Tyler was this past Tuesday evening saying that he'll have a tracking # for me by Friday & if not, he'd send me a refund. Well, Friday came & went and I haven't heard a word!!! And yes, I've tried to contact him but again...nothing.
So, at this point, I'm not even going to ask him about the puppet OR for a refund....if he can't send what I paid for, I seriously doubt like Hell that he'd actually send my cash back....instead, in the morning I'll be going to the local post office and since I paid him with a Postal Money order, I'll be having them file the papers for mail fraud.
I REALLY hate that it's come to this being that he & I were once friends but enough is enough, I'm fed up with the excuses and I'm damn tired of these so called prop makers dragging ass & taking their sweet ass time!
It's a real shame to because as mentioned, he really does some nice work...I don't know if he's just gotten lazy, grown irresponsible or has just flat out become a crook??
Whatever the case may be, whatever his problem is, like I said folks....BUYERS BEWARE!!!
