TWISTED METAL Sweet Tooth Machete

Hello fellow makers! :D

I gave it a shot and made a metal replica of the psycho Clown ''Sweet Tooth'' from the tv show Twisted Metal.
I had a lot of fun with this one. Eventhough is it made out of aluminum, it would probably crush your skull...6 mm thick aluminum plate is pretty heavy. o_O It weights roughly 2 kg.
I even got to smash some stuff at the end of the video. Check it out if you feel like it.
Cheers!
Dan

Nice work! It was so neat to find the show repurposed my design from Twisted Metal 2012.

Some fun facts; the opportunity to design this machete came out of nowhere. I was working at a prototyping/fabrication shop with little connection (and almost no contact) with Eat Sleep Play/Dave Jaffe. This company very rarely did actual design work. Out of the blue one morning we got asked to build a machete for the game, and I spent a couple hours sketching up concepts before lunch. I remember being psyched to be doing art for the creator of the God of War series. To this day I'm a bit baffled that the game company outsourced a design for its main character's weapon. The brief was basically "a large machete with a candy cane striped handle and polka dots that mirror those on Sweet Tooth's pants. Should look like it was made by a madman in his garage" And that's the whole of the story. I sent these versions, they picked this one, and we built a few hero/stunt versions for the cutscenes.
