Tweak of the search function

There seems to be a fair amount of reposting of topics. Would it help to default the search to “everywhere” instead of “this forum” while searching from a specific subforum? This might help noobs and vets alike, whatcha think?

I can’t either, it is way more complicated than past iterations. Perhaps too specific?

I find the Google Site Search to be pretty robust. For example, paste this in your browser bar:

site:therpf.com krull glaive

The result returns and trying to find useful info and also to sort out if you're doubling up with a thread etc is a joke here.

Also, the "quick search" thingie has been broken forever.
