Trooper helmet advice

The grey should be glossy on ANH Stunt style.:thumbsup
From what I seen of the original Hero style it seems to be a semi gloss but it could just be oxidation that has dulled the gloss a bit.

Doug,
Thanks for those pics. I hadn't seen those. I guess I should stick with what I got. The color looks right on to me. Couple more questions:

1) how do you avoid those little micro-bubbles in the paint?

2) does anyone have a technique to paint the black lines over the gray on the teardrops and especially the longer ones on the back trapezoids?

3) Will multiple coats of gray look bad for any reason. My first coat isn't quite thick enough on one side.

Thanks,
John

In answer to question 2, you could use a black marker/felt pen.

Yup, that or masking tape and a fine brush. The lines look a little wobbly on the originals so they don't have to be absolutely perfect!

I know this was about the helmet, but I have a question about painting the buttons on the ab plate. Anyone have any tips for painting these? Doing my bucket by hand took many tries (but looks good :)).
Button tips pleeeease!:angel
