I used my printer and some decal film I bought off ebay to make the Lao Che livery.
can't really get a good feel for the scale but i assume its too small to paint the stuff on the door?

only reason i ask, is because it was such an important part of the scene when they board the plane
You are a genius! That is so fantastic! Is this the same Revell model kit? I love how you have even done the thin white stripes between the red lines. Amazing.

Yes, it is the Revell 1/77 scale Ford Tri-Motor with some modifications. I'm doing a v 2.0 because I found some more accurate radial engines. The ones on top are the kit engines. The ones on bottom are the aftermarket radials

Nice, ive been modeling some radial engines for my Tri motor. hope to get that up and going again as soon as my cross country move is done.

Curse you all! I WAS happy with my Tri-motor. Then you fellas had to step it up. Thanks, I'm now even happier I added the Lao Che Air Freight decals and the various cables. Still some paint touch ups to do but it does look better.

Great idea - yeah now looking at reference pics of the actual plane, the motors really aren't right for the kit. So looking forward to seeing your new version![]()

Quick question, I'm attempting to gather all the supplies needed while waiting on the kit to arrive. What did you use for the control cables to the rudder and wings? Thanks.
