Tony Stark's Flight Stabilizer!

Hello there!

I haven't yet found a thread where I could introduce myself, so I guess I'll do it right here - on my very first post and a very first prop!

So, my name is Alexander, but you can call me Alex (or Sleyd, as I set it as my nickname here). I'm a 16 years old dude from Poland, who tried making movie/game props, since he was about 9. Why tried? Well, I never really finished anything I've ever started...

Until now!

Today, I would like to show you pictures, of my yet to be finished creation.

I'd like to point out few things first:
  • It's made out of paper and cardboard (with few exceptions).
  • It's only 40% of the whole build (next 40% will be painting it, and then 20% installing the led light).
  • It's quite solid, but I'd not recommend fighting in it.
  • It's not universal. It fits only on my arm.

So let's get the photos out then (if you want to zoom on them, please just click on desired photo. I can't get them to work, after setting different size :/ ):

You've probably noticed all the nuts and bolts by now. There are two reasons I used them:

  1. I needed some way to make it wearable and lockable (I'll show the locks in a second)
  2. The tape I used to put all the pieces together, turned out to be complete disaster, and my contraption started falling apart :C

I'll upload pics of locks in the next entry, as this is getting quite annoying to edit :p

And here's a picture, of how it looks on my arm:

There's a nifty thing with the arm part, than when I bend my whole arm, the bar slightly turns, so it all fits nicely.

Aaaand, that's about it for now, I guess.
I'm going to give this prop a little break, because now I feel like making some Fallout props, plus I got slightly bored of this build, and I need to get some rest from it.

I admit, there are mistakes, I could have done some parts differently, probably better, but I actually enjoy it the way it is.
