Media in a rush to report anything and everything to get ratings? Not surprising.
This is the second time in a month that ABC News has erroneously reported on a sensitive news story. During the Aurora movie theater shooting tragedy, ABC News claimed the gunman was a Tea Party member which was not true.
Wow. This story just gets crazier as it unfolds. Tony Scott was an avid rock climber, so, it would have been no problem at all for him to scale a 10 foot tall chain link fence. I'm sure he could have done it in half a second.
The real crazy thing for me was that he apparently had the Vincent Thomas bridge in mind for the opening of what would have been his remake of The Warriors
...
ABC News's tagline should be: Anything But Correct.
I'm not standing up for TMZ (because they are ridiculous) but they refused purchasing any footage.
Also crazy, just about a week ago I watched "To Live And Die In LA" - a film in which a character jumps off that bridge.
I am shocked by them refusing it. Hopefully everyone does. Man Edward R Murrow and all the old school reporters are spinning in their graves. So much for double checking your facts before you go to print...or online nowadays. Too bad his family can't block any sales of those videos.
