My son really never took any kind of strong interest in my prop building skills or projects until recently. He has always kind of looked at it as kind of dumb, although he did recognize the talent it took to do some of the things.
Well just a couple of weeks ago he approached me with a project of his own and told me that he knew I was the one who could do this for him. He has turned from the dark side and see the light so to speak LOL
Actually this has brought us closer as a Dad and a son as well as just better friends-- Oh yeah--my son is 27.
So on to the project--he is a member of a fantasy football league . He was the champ last year. The other members and he were talking about buying a generic trophy off the net, and my son told them to wait--he would try to see about finding something else or they needed to get together collectively to find something appropriate.
So he approached me on the side and has a big entrance and presentation planned for the next meeting of the members of the league.
Here is what I created for him--- the side panels are blank so they can engrave the winner every year--his team name is already on it for the 2010 season.
Was great to be able to do this for my son--he is so excited to get this in his hands.
