Hi everyone, as you can see from my post count, I'm a newbie to these forums! But I'll skip my intro and get right to it. I've been collecting and reading as much info as I can as to how to build Thor's hammer, and at the moment I'm confused at all the varying measurements I've read. It also seems there is no information on smaller parts of the hammer, like you can see in the picture where I've annotated with red lines. I'm hoping if there's any other builders out there who have made one of these, if you could please share your knowledge! At first glance this is a simple shaped object but when it comes time to measuring up and constructing, it's a nightmare! Even drawing up plans is tricky. The plan is to build the main shape with half inch birch wood. Then I will skin it with styrene or sintra so Itll be easier to add details such as lines etc. I will definitely make a prototype out of cardboard to see what method is best. What is the best way to start this? Base shape? Thanks to any suggestions or tips, looking forward to starting this thing. And I'll be sure to document everything for anyone else that's interested
