You know you love that movie....cheesy 80's greatness , The big hair of Roddy Piper and that plaid shirt, anyway I am making some props to go with my Roddy piper and John C autographs . Would like to find some of the original props but who knows where they are...maybe the aliens got them. Now that would be a con costume..someone go as an alien and someone go as Roddy...grab the bubblegum.

Here's what I have so far :

Money
Magazine , almost finished ( need to bind and add filler)
VHS tape cover ..love those 80's
soup labels ( doing three various food items)
record album/cover ( KFC cover as stand in/measuring )
store sign ( with normal on reverse)
regular sign

not shown : cigarette pack , beer can label and wine bottle label.

just fun stuff . In looking/capping through the blue ray i burned the other night , they never used the same fonts on anything..from impact to everything else.

Hah! Thats great! Were the sunglasses Wayfarer knockoffs in the movie? Been a while since I've seen it - one of the great 'forgotten' Carpenter movies.

One prop you gotta have, tho - an empty bubblegum pack! :D

Within the last 3 months I have seen a bottle prop, a left alien hand and an alien mask on Ebay. From what I recall, everything was screen used with paperwork and surprisingly cheap! So the stuff is out there.

crap , i must have missed them , i still search every few days

I have come here to...

AMC has been replaying this lately on TV. Awesome flick. It's even better if you were a Duke Nukem fan back in the day.

very cool poster...love the font posters . I've never seen a mask , but hopefully i will find on oneday. screen used would be pricey but would like something from it. just a classic.

I've had this on my compy for years, and just watched it (again) the other night.

That "PKE" gets around... now if only I could find that shoe polisher at the flea market.

So which came first the 'bubblegum' line in the film, or Duke Nukem video game?

I'm with Satxer... NEED the glasses.

Very cool Propologist. Loved this classic cheese fest of a movie:)

"Life's a _____ and she is back in heat":lol

Those must be the easiest props to reproduce... I love this film, I had no idea there were props around.

yeah they where , Like I said oddly after looking through the dvd caps , they never used the same fonts all the time. they would use one for the main signs and then for the props they where all various and different.
I wonder why the paper props never survived. I want a mask and hands as well.
One of these days when we buy a house I would like to have a food shelf with things like this and other related props in the kitchen..kinda a guess the food prop and from what movie.

Yeah one of those masks should be a cracker! Don't remember ever seeing one that showed up. Maybe Carpenter has one at home.
