THEM! Movie Patches

These patches are seen on the New Mexico State Police uniforms in the 1954
Sci-Fi movie THEM!, about a hive of giant ants, starring James Whitmore.
Here too, are two screen grabs showing the patches.
You really can't see much of the two small square patches,
but they are on the collars.

Time to recognize one of the best sci-fy movies ever. I have seen it a hundred times and still marvel at what they created. Great to see the patches again.

THEM! is one of my all time favourite movies. I actually wore out my VHS copy. I didn't even know there were patches from the movie out there. Thanks for sharing, I'm off to see if I can track down a set.

This movie scared the hell outta me when I was a little kid. Great flick. Nice to see it get some love.

I'm surprised no one else thought of this movie for props. Where to find a giant ant?

I got all of the patches on ebay a few years ago, the Red Cross was the hardest to find the right one.

In sweden they changed the name of the movie to "THE SPIDERS"
(* If you translate it back to english)

Very cool. It's still one of those 50s scifi films that set the bar so high most others couldn't come close.

I was lucky enough to find a set of NM SP patches on ebay. Now to match up the red cross patch and I'm set, there's a few out there so it shouldn't be that difficult.

**EDIT**
@ AZSneed what's the diameter of your Red Cross patch? I found one on ebay that's 2". Thanks in advance.

I'll tell you what film scared me stupid. Night of the Demon (Curse of the Demon) 8 years old in a old farmhouse with the lights out and a spitting crackling fire in the hearth. I swear to this day the fire conspired with the film to scare me. Every time the demon appeared the fire would spit and I would jump so hard I left the floor in front of the telly...much to the amusement of my Dad. :)
