When I see the Series version of the Gov I think to myself what was he in the days before the end.By his clothes he looks to me like a guy who might have been a rancher of some kind by the vest he wears.Could someone give me some insight on that vest he wears and if anyone is doing that as a costume? Thanks

I can't be 100% sure, but it looks like a Randall Made Knives, Model 12 - 13" Raymond Thorp Bowie. Online Catalog

There's not too many bowies that big unless they're custom made.

The notch at the base of the blade and the shape of the guard make me believe it's a Muela, but it's really hard to tell based on the pic.

although all the knives seen so far have been pretty much commerical made knives...I'm really thinking the bowie is a custom, it does have a Muela vibe, but the only knives they have that dont have the brass stud in the handles are stag....I bet there will def be replicas of it, like said above...bowies that large are usually custom made, like the one seen in the Expendables.....which was made by Gil Hibben, which now is replicated thru United Cutlery....so we'll see what the near future holds.

I don't think we will see him tonight, but I am excited with the departure of how he looked in the comic. Can't wait to see how they make him on the show. This could be great.

I was gonna say Muela too. I have one that looks similar to this but with a differant handle and not quite as large. Love their stuff. They make a VERY durable knife that I've put my life on the line with. Muela Knives, Custom Spanish Cutlery

I don't get why y'all keep saying its a Muela blade? They don't make anything near that big, and other than the guard it looks like nothing they're producing. Muela's longest bowie style blade is 10-3/4 inches. Scaling from the photos dictates that the blade is between 13-15 inches. So other than a custom job, the only company making a blade that even comes close is Randall. Check it:

The handle may be off, but I can't really tell from the pictures what the scales look like. Either way it the biggest bowie knife on the market.

Maybe Kit Rae who designed the sword for the series designed this little baby

That would make sense, since the blade design is very atypical from what I'm seeing.
