Hershel's daughter collapsed and they needed him back asap, Rick wasn't aware of that when he left...

And she took her eyes off the road for a moment to view the map, which if you noticed, she was driving down a long straight empty road before she took her eyes off it... I'm sure you have done the same thing to change the radio station or look in your rear view mirror at one time or another

so the zombie just magically appeared in 2 seconds, because we all know those guys are sneaky and fast!!

There is a VAST difference between a quick glance in the rearview and trying to read a map.

Its not like the zombie was wearing an orange reflecting vest on the side of the road covered with trees and bushed, from a good 500 ft away, it was camoflaged by its surroundings then took 4 steps iout into the road... Its not that hard to fathom

Have you been watching the show? They most definately are sneaky and fast. Dale knows this now, and so does Rick. Seriously, how did that zombie get the jump on Dale in the first place, the zombie popped up in the direction he just came from, and it wasn't like you WOULDN'T notice it. Or Rick, how did the Shane zombie NOT get noticed by him, haha! I'd have to say that it kinda proves they are sneaky and fast. :lol
