Yeah, don't bother with the 3D on this one. They're doing the "after the fact" conversion of all of the 2D elements into 3D, like they tried to do with Clash of the Titans.

That's one of the things I love so much about the films. I still can't believe that they actually managed to get all 7 made and keep relatively close to the ages the characters should have been in the novels.

What an amazing accomplishment the books/movies are.

Movie looks great! I think the MTV preview was better than the trailer, though. What ever happened to John Williams returning to score the final movie? I was so excited when that news broke, and now it's not him...

Normally I prefer the books but I recall there being a lot of camping in the middle of the 7th book and I found that dull. This movie looks a lot more exciting. Can't wait!
