    Looks like the J.

The J was briefly shown in "enteprise" during a time travel plot.

Not alot out there for details though.

Kinda looks like the Cylon Base Star from the new BSG...except for the saucer, of course.

It was an episode of "Enterprise" with a lot of time traveling dudes. Archer was taken in ot the future by this guy from the Federation to see the future and was on this ship, though we only see it in a picture behind him.

    "Ships of the Line"????

What line? Was there a "line" drawn someplace in the Trek universe?

    That's completely a B5 kind of title.

Not really. 'Ship of the Line' is an old naval term from Sailing Vessels. A ship that could take place in a battle line. Also called 'Battleships'. Its just a fancy (but valid) term.

The saucer section looks waffer thin. Unless it's really huge it doesn't look like more than 3-5 decks.

Yah, I think its supposed to be huge...judgeing from the vessel name and NCC code way up in the front there.

Daniels took Archer several hundred years into the future to show him what would happen if the Expanse was allowed to exist and continue.

    Yes.

The full old term from the time of sail was 'First-Rate Ship of the Line'. Enterprise has always been pretty much the 'Flagship' of the Federation in any iteration. Flagship in modern Naval parlance refers to any ship where the Battle Group Admiral's flag is hoisted ( Flag Officer, et al...). In Star Trek, the meaning is different.

Yeah this is an offshoot of the "Ships of the Line calendar that Doug has been contributing to.
This will give him somewhere to display these CG models he has built over the years. I keep expecting one to show up deep in the rag tag fleet on BG (Maybe one has and I just missed it/)

I also hated this design when i first saw it. I also hated Voyager and NX-01 too. Since then though it has grown on me unlike Voyager and the nx-01 which I still hate. It doesn't really look Trek though. * Berman/Braga. :angry

The one with the 'doodie'? I changed it. File size being 800k, I thought it might slow things down for some people too much. :lol

On topic? The 'J' sux. End of story.
