I forgot who it was, but one of our own members has an original suit.

He will probably post here after he sees this Thread.

I've got one I was working on for last years Dragon con, but because of Katrina we didn't go.
In this pic I didn't have the cuffs finished yet.

Just curious as to where the pix for THE PHANTOM costume would be; I don't see an 'Adventures' section on the page.

    Thanks!

Good to have another Phantom Phan on the board.

Here's all the images I have of the original Phantom movie costume pieces as worn by Billy Zane. A good chunk are from Mantis's old collection photos that are now expired. Hope they help you on your own research.

I must have seen that flick a hundred times, but I never noticed the face on the torso. That was totally under-utilized.

I just saw Billy Zane in Sniper: Reloaded. I was surprised to see he's bald now.

    Hi,

thought I'd revive this thread since I finally got in some pieces i've been waiting a long time for.

Here I have a hero belt with two stunt rubber pistols. 2 stunt boots, and I finally got a hero eye mask to go with my Billy Zane cowl and head foam thing. Just need to find the suit and put it all together, enjoy :)

:) I love the phantom, I wish I knew a spot to find the suit. that and the cowl have so much amazing detail, its like wearable art.

I decided the phantom is going to be my next project. I was going to order the gun belt from a site that was clearing them out for $25 dollars, but they are all sold out and it seems they only made 250 worldwide, so Im going to have to make my own. that is okay Im up for the challenge. I have the boots and the mask is easy, but im haveing a hard time finding a suit that isnt shiney..ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Most of the time, if the suit is sewn using the backside of the spandex on the outside, it isn't as shiny. But then again it still might not look how you want it to.
Seeing the fabric first hand is usually the best way to go.
I'd say you find and purchase the fabric you want and then send it to somebody to make the suit for you.

another route I'd take is finding tight fitting or custom made tights and have an airbrusher paint on the details for you. but that's for the movie version of the costume. I believe theres an official Phantom costume available online but I've never seen it in person.

Go with a purple cotton lycra, it is not shiny and will look a bit grittier

I love that costume. I remember seeing it on the Batman forum and some others. The recreation of the cowl and parts is amazing! If i remember correctly, the suit he is wearing is a screen used one right? amazing!
