Prop Store - Ultimate Movie Collectables

It was reserved before I got my email for it! :cry

Not that I could've afforded it! :lol

Did anyone here snag this? Did anyone see what it cost? Just curious what kind of a price any iconic piece would bring associated with Ledger and The Joker.

Very, very awesome...

It was indeed 7k. That's a lot of money.

I'd like to see how much the hero Glock would go for if it ever shows up lol

This remington though, is really present throughout the movie so I guess the price tag is justified.

But still... Seven grand for a piece of rubber. I can see spending that on a cowl because it defines the character but this...

If you select view all props and then arrange them by price high to low then the item even of sold sits in the same place it would have so you can usually figure out the price from the items either side of the one you want. :)

Saw that. Could have bought it too, thought about it, but 7K for a stunt shotgun just seemed like too much. Obviously not for someone, though.

I tried to buy another Prop Store piece this morning. Put the piece in my cart, went through the checkout procedure without delay, got to the very last step confirming the order, and it says 'Sorry, the item is no longer available'. WTF? Called the Prop Store - It turns out that putting something in your cart doesn't reserve it. If someone else moves just a bit faster than you, they can snatch it right out of your hands. And someone did. Made me feel like a right loser.
:confused

Due to the movie's popularity, it seems that the prices are slightly 'inflated' for any piece attached to The Dark Knight...seems a bit much for the stunt version imo too.

I think the prices not only reflect the popularity of the movie but the rarity of the pieces available from the movie. There has been relatively little from the Dark Knight that has become available to the public, hence the higher pricing.

That's true! I wonder why that is? It seems very little has surfaced for sale. I was able to acquire a couple of license plates but that's about it. Also, you don't see much for Nolan's Inception. I wonder if WB just keeps a tighter grip on the film property?

I think you nailed it. I know when we bought our spartan 300 hoplite, it was a BIG deal at the time that Warner Bros were releasing pieces and a BIG BIG deal that you got a COA straight from Warner Bros... of course then the market was flooded with 300 pieces from about a million sources and that not only saturated the market but took away from some of the initial exclusivity, but again, when it first came out, it was considered very unique to see WB releasing something.
