Why can't they just call them Skrulls?
They'll probably have some long elaborate name like the 'Yllanotharians' or something to make them sound more impresssive. I wouldn't mind if they had a long modern sci-fi name that the Avengers shorten to mock them. 'Skrull' could be short jargon for 'Inskrulliamites' or whatever.

That could be as simple as Skrulls ending up lumped in with an agreement with Sony like the X-Men, Spiderman and Fantastic Four are. Maybe the skrulls are lumped into the FF's package like the Silver Surfer was.
That might be it. Too bad.

So anyone want to make any predictions form the film as far as plot goes? I'm guessing our baddies will be very close to Frost Giants.
Other predictions....
Avengers assemble, Loki uses some mind tricks gets them to fight amongst themselves, perhaps we will see Hulk vs Thor. Heroes temporarily split up until it's almost too late, then they reassemble, Red Skull will make an appearance with Loki's army then boom, against all hope..the Avengers are able to temporarily push the invaders back, until part 2

I'm sure it'll be something like that. There will probably be some infighting due to Loki, since we already saw tidbits of Cap vs Thor in one of the earlier teasers/trailers.

My guess is Thor attacks Cap from a simple misunderstanding as SHIELD and Cap go around the world to recruit people for the team. Thor probably uses an unorthodox method to get to Earth from Asgard and as soon as he arrives, sees Cap in his silly costume, thinks he's the enemy, and gets to construction work with his hammer on Stevie Rogers.
As for plot predictions, I think we can all agree the plot is going to be fairly predictable. What I'm looking for is execution, character development, and massive alien invasion battle scenes!
