Hey everyone!
This year is my first year going to any convention, and so I chose to go to Dragon Con. I already have my Vader suit that I'm wearing (and maybe my Booker DeWitt) but I wanted something else as well, because that Vader suit gets HOT.
I chose to be Spider Man from the Amazing Spider man 2. My goal is to get this suit anywhere from 95%-98% accurate. So far, I've been using black and navy blue slick puff paint mixed together for the brick portion, which it pretty much just looks black. I was hoping to get it as thin as the movies brick pattern, but it got a little thicker, which is okay, I don't really care too much. The webs are made of slick metallic black puff paint mixed with RD-407 latex, a small amount of silver acrylic paint, and some latex thickener. This is Orhadar's darker red ASM2 file without the finger pads, palm pads, back spider, or front spider. I've also got Tjack's ASM2 faceshell and lenses kit, which I need to put together soon. The front Spider has been cut out of a urethane sheet that I have now sprayed with plastidip and is drying.
Take a look and tell me what you think (yes, the crotch part of the suit is indeed wet. I accidentally got some paint on the suit where I didn't want it, but with a little bit of shout, it came right out)!
