Temporary Tail Fin templates and ideas for a 79 Vette "Batmobile"?

So for Halloween and appearances I will be using a 79 corvette. It's always reminded me of a batmobile so I thought it's be prefect.

Where I'm looking for help and ideas is, I'm looking to add detachable tail fins like the 89 batmobile. I'm at a loss trying to find templates or guides on the shape and size.

I was thinking of making them out of the pink ridged foam board you find at Home Depot and attaching them to the body of the car with magnets.

If anyone has other ideas, a template, leads, thoughts in general please respond. Any help really would be awesome.

It's funny you should say that, do you mean like this??? ;-) I'll tell you it isn't easy and to be truthful, If you love your vet, you may not want to attempt it. BUT IF YOU DO, you can have one sweet ride just like this 73....NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA BATMAN....
Just my own thoughts....

Is that yours? I wasn't think of going that far but the tail fins is all I was aiming for. I was think of buying foam board like this and carving the fins out of it, painting or plastidipping it and attaching it the rear wheel wells with industrial magnets.

I just need measurement or a template to draw it out. If you could help in anyway I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey everyone. Here is a bit of an update for those who care. I went and bought the pink foam board and cut out the fins basic shape. Then with a Dremel and sandpaper carved out the basic shape of the indentions or ridges in the fins. I probably could have spent some more time really sanding them down perfect but I was on a time restraint and I knew it was going to be seen at night so all the little imperfections I could deal with.

After I had the basic fin shape formed and sanded out, I covered both in about 3 layers of primer and allowed them to dry and then covered them both in 2 or 3 layers of plasti-dip and finally an automobile gloss finish.

They where than attached to the fiberglass body of the car via "Super Magnets" which I bought at the hardware store. There where 3 glued into carved out recesses in the bottom of each fin and then another 3 where attached by climbing under the car and lining them up. They held on great. Granted I wasn't driving on the freeway but it was rather windy both nights I took it out.

Overall I was fairly content with the results. If I was to ever do something like this again I think I'd take more time with the sanding and smoothing of the foam but everyone that saw it was blown away.
