Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) (Post-release)

This movie was actually pretty good. Because of the negative reviews I was waiting the whole time for the movie to get bad and it never did.

Yup, I agree with you. Overall I think it was a decent attempt, there were quite a few scenes that made me laugh. Sure there was lots of CGI but the turtles actually looked pretty good. It's no Shawshank Redemption, but it was never going to be that type of movie. I left the movie with a grin on my face, and in that respect I think it did it's job.

Beyond the Fichtner/Shredder obviousness which has already been brought up the only thing that kinda bothered me was they learnt Ninjitsu from a book splinter happened to find in the sewer, after training himself of course. That was a bit weak.

But overall I had a good time and my daughter loved it.

Honestly, I found it a little more believable that a genetically mutated rat learnt ninjitsu from a manual he found than a regular rat learning ninjitsu by watching his master while in a cage.
