I built this in a weekend, about 2 years ago... just to prove that I could do it. It's mostly overlapping sheets of 1/4" foamcore. The signage was printed out with a color laser printer.
My former roommate was a big fan, so I surprised her by attaching it to her door in the middle of the night. She dug it.
