I liked it actually, but I'm a sucker for zombie flicks. I liked the tie in with Diary of the Dead..
It had a different approach than most of the flicks, but it was cool to me.
Here's what happened with Romero's zombie movies... when he did the original, they didn't even think about the social commentary behind it. For the second one... despite what he claims, I don't think he did either. These were just supposed to be fun, scary movies. Once people started telling him about it, he tried to think up social commentaries to put in them. That's why Day starts to fall off... although I don't think terribly so. In the last two he tried too hard to come up with some sort of commentary. He starts to think less about the characters and creating fear. Instead they become caricatures and the zombies are simply there for him to tell his social commentary.
Suprised to hear that you liked it man - really, I thought it was very poor. I was sorely dissapointed, and I'm quite easily pleased with zombie flicks...

Perhaps I was swayed by need to see some undead. :lol Been watching too much Alice in wonderland and kids movies lately. Kinda like how a starving man would think SPAM was Top sirloin.
I was hooked from the first head shot, you know the one!
I don't think so. Look at the good stuff he did do: Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Tales from the Dark Side, The Crazies, Creepshow, Monkey Shines... I don't think he's a fluke.
