SUPER low budget Jack Sparrow!

OK here goes my first EVER costume "build". Well first of all details . . . i don't have a specific budget as such this is simply gonna be an as and when build. The reason this is gonna be super low budget is, i am currently unemployed and have VERY little cash spare but plenty of time. I will also say this will unfortunately NOT be screen accurate and is simply a quick cheap build with relatively pleasing results (hopefully)

OK update, i have manged to get a decent shirt and went over budget slightly on a trio of belts (including the baldric) still REALLY struggling to find a decent sash. I would love to show progress on all of this but i can't seem to upload any images. Any help there would be appreciated.
 
Ok i'll try again. So heres how i did my boots, first i took and old pair of shoes. . . image.jpg then i took some faux swede fabric, and cut out sections for the toe and heel. . . image.jpgimage.jpg then i fabricated a "sock" attatched a cuff . . . image.jpgimage.jpg then glue gunned the "sock" to the shoe, then the toe cap area, then the heel. Stained with coffee and i'm done!image.jpgimage.jpg

Next step was the compass. Since this is an extremely low budget not 100% screen accurate costume the logical solution was pepakura so. . . image.jpgimage.jpg i will upload some more pics tonight of the progress i have so far.

Update:

I've finaly found a fabric i am happy with for the sash, its not 100% acurate but its pretty damn close. I have enough to make 3 maybe 4 sashes so if anyone is interested PM me. image.jpg
 
Sorry for the delay, i've been away with the family, i will DEFINITELY update all the pics tomorrow as that is the date of the party. hope you enjoy. Also the technique i used for making the boots was actually recommended to me by a member on here i'll try and find the link for you if you like?
 
Ok heres the updates as promised. The trousers are simply trousers, bought for around £3 from a charity shop. image.jpg then the shirt, not screen accurate but period accurate for around £20image.jpg the waistcoat is actually a suit jacket i got at a charity shop for £4 i simply cut off the sleeves and your done. image.jpgwhilst in the charity shop i picked up a really ugly bath mat to cut up for the wrist wrapimage.jpg couldn't find any cheap leather so i made the palm glove out of some old linenimage.jpgimage.jpglike everything else eventually i had to head for ebay. So i picked up a cheap wig a screen accurate bandana and some wig beadsimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgafter some SERIOUS OCD and a lot of hard work i modified the wig to something i was happier withimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgjust in case you're wondering the bone needle in the wig is actually a chopstick saved from a Chinese takeaway haha. So with that done i braided a peice of hair extension for the beardimage.jpg and a piece of lace for the left wristimage.jpgimage.jpgthen i had to bite the bullet and spend £30 on a trio of belts including the baldric obviouslyimage.jpg more to follow
