Good luck with the test fitting today, I haven't noticed, (maybe I missed it) have you put a strong zip in this? Both the costumes I planned to use as a base for mine had either ties or a small weak zip. Also, be prepared for the suit sticking to the dummy, it will come off with patience though.
Done and dusted? not a chance, once you've started down this path, you'll always find something you want to change. :D
The zip is still the original one that was on the morph suit, will change later if it breaks (fingers crossed it will hold for a while).

Well as you said getting the suit off the stand took ages.  Thank God I had done some research about making the stand and had not glued the shoulder sections and had the leg sections held on with masking tape.  This allowed me to slide off the legs and allow room for the suit to pass the shoulders. Extracting the duct tape dummy was not to bad.  I had wrapped the duct tape dummy in bin bags which allowed it to peel off easily and pull out of the skin.

Then it was the moment of truth try on the bugger.  I had to enlist Ruth to help me get in and..YAY.. it fits like a glove.  Movement wise is not to bad, arms have  a bit of limiting movement bit am well pleased overall.  The elbow joints match exactly to my measurements and it feels like a second skin.  Getting out was quite tough as as I was sweating and found the arms particularly difficult as It was skin to skin.  Maybe thinking of buying another morph suit to wear and limit skin contact with the suit.  The suit itself on examining had survived the removal from the stand etc and the test fitting with no tears or paint cracking..

Yipeee...

Like you said Troggs there will always be more to build and tweak. Next plan is to create some trophy's for suit.

Off now to weather some more dread rings and apply final varnish too the hands..

Got the earth magnets today and attached to bio and mask. The magnets created some paint chipping on the mask which pissed me off, it's not that bad however I know it's there and it will bug me.Plan tommorow is to repair chipping and then put multiple layers of varnish on the magnet contact areas too minimise the chance of wear. Thinking of glueing on small bits of foam to the magnets as a cushioning effect as well. Think I will also use the last of my leather to seal the inside of the Bio and reduce any abrasion.

Glad you got the suit on no problems, seems like it fits well, I lost nearly 2 stone from when I started mine, so the suit is a bit baggy on me now.
I put talcum powder on anywhere where skin will touch, and I do wear an inner layer as well. Have you tried wearing the bio/mask together? The first time I did mine I could hardly breathe, the bio clamped on nicely and basically stopped most of the air - just something to be wary of.

I put on some talcum today on a few areas and it's worked a treat and bought another morph suit as an inner lair. There is no problem with breathing in the bio however it does feel really claustrophobic, vision limiting and heavy. I can not see me wearing it for extended periods.

Put some more layers of varnish on the mask and finished weathering the dread rings. I will varnish them tommorow using Yaught varnish. Will be planning over the next few days to put leather on the inside of the bio to cushion it's surfaces on the mask.

Thanks guys.

Not a lot of progress today as I thought I had better Blitz the garden before it turns in to the Serengeti lol. I did however put the first layer of yaught varnish on the Dread rings and another layer of varnish on the mask. Spoke to a local guy last night who runs a costume business and uses Disney and Iron man costumes at events. He was very interested in my Pred and says he could line me up with some events he is doing. Might be able to claw back some of the fortune I spent creating this and have some fun as well. Bring it on..lol

Finally got the Mask finished.  I really lost the will to live preparing the dreads and sticking them on, then attaching the Rings took forever as my artistic eye had had enough and had to enlist Ruth to help...

Once it was done I eagerly tried it on to find that the weight off the Dreads was back heavy and pulled the Mask back.  I spent the guts of two hours trying different combinations of packing to get to a comfy point where I had vision and that the vision would stay, after movement.  I found the areas around the eyes were getting very irritated by the latex eye holes and thought about expanding the eye sockets further, however having done this previously was not looking forward to it as the Latex is really thick and was worried about getting the eye sockets even.  Anyway to cut a long story short I ended up Glueing an old pair of glasses to the sockets, which has a threefold effect, no abrasion around eye sockets, the mask fitted better and I can actual see which is  a bonus..lol.

I had a few Dreads fall out in the process, however They were pretty much tested to the extremes as I had the thing on/off my head about !5 times by myself as Ruth was busy.. Then finally when I was pleased with everything I scuffed the Mask on the Artex on the walls and took a big bit of paint off..AAAGGGHH..

So repaired Scuff and am in a Calm Place now..

Have a few little jobs to do before I am saying it's finished, hope to Post pics next week of the Full Boohna..

Test fitting tommorow of the Costume..very excited. Have tried the netting on the suit on it's hanger and it looks good, however I hope the armour covers up the girly shoulder straps at the top...lol. I attached the Backpack to the Armour and it's hard to visualise how it will all look..will post pics tommorow all going well.

Looking good, glad it went ok for you.
I had the same problem with getting the mask to sit correctly, even though the foam makes it a snug fit, in the end I used a hard hat liner and dug some holes in the foam to make it a tight fit.
After a bit of adjusting it fits ok now; I know it won't last for ever, but I'm happy with it, for now anyway.

Wow Sean, it looks GREAT!!!  I am happy to see this come together for you buddy.  Very well done!

Thanks Troggs and Brian it's going to be a bit of a learning curve working out the order to put things on and after today would rather have two people helping as it was just Poor Ruth helping. Found out that some bits of the skin are still sticking and there were a few paint scuffs on the skin. Planning to put more Liquutex GMV on the suit and use some talcom powder on sticky areas. Getting the mask to snug fit as you said Troggs is a problem and am going to have to address it. I ripped out the glasses..no good steam wise and am going to widen the eye sockets. The undersuit helped getting in and out the suit however was drenched in sweat. Foam inside mask was soaked however not having a snug fit to the breathing hole would have added to this.

Cheers

Fair warning Sean... the paint scuffs are gonna get worse with wear, no matter how much CC you apply.  I've given up trying to keep mine 'pristine' because It's just too hard to do.  Next time around I'm going with rubber cement paints.  As far as putting it on, I know exactly what you're saying.  The wife and I have it down good now, and I can be suited up in about 5 minutes.  You;ll get it worked out!

That looks really nice, I love the backpack. The calfs seem a tad thin, but that might just be the angle.

Edit: sorry for the triple post, my pone is being super derpy

Thanks Henry I deliberately never put any calf muscle on the suit as I wanted to make sure leg would fit into boot. So yeah it will look thin as I am a very skinny guy..lol.

So the plans for today are to expand the eye sockets and make some acsessories for the suit ie a bone necklace and some trophy skulls.

My friend gave me 3 old horse saddles yesterday which I also plan to strip down for future leather armour projects. Will have to probably do that asap as they are sitting in the hall and have already stubbed my toes three times on the buggers lol.

Through talking to a neighbour at the end of our street yesterday I have found out that another neighbour is an electronics wizard and runs his own bussiness creating and repairing technologies. Very excited about this and am going to pay him a visit, thinking bomb gauntlet and animatronics.
