Studio Scale Y-Wing Head and Y-Speeder

If I get 7 or more interested poeple, I start work on this item. I'll be posting photos during my build. So no one will think this is cast from the MR model.

The price will probably be around $150. This price will go down if there are more interested people. I will not take any money until the item is ready to ship. There are no timelines as to when this might be done, but I'll try to get this done by July.

This kit will be a stock Y wing head with optional parts to make a Y Concept.

No need to start from Scratch Robert... I can send a No shrink Y Wing head with all the accurate parts with your package.. lemme know.. Those that just want a plain studio Scale Y Wing head let me know I have several extra in the shop..

This is a kit of the Y-Speeder. The kit includes the Head only of the Y-wing. If you leave off the Y-speeder parts (like the guns and thrusters), you'll have a stock Y-wing head as shown by Steve's photos.

If you want to build a complete Y wing, you'll have to source the other parts, but this will be a good start. I doubt anyone can offer an entire Y-wing for $150.

Hi,

I see you have beat me to the punch in doing a Y-wing head concept speeder. :unsure After I do the T47 Speeder I was thinking of doing one, but in the same scale. ie I would make a BIG scale (1/7th ish) Y-wing head so that the two pilots I'm making for the SS Speeder would fit in it....

Good luck with it. It should be a great one to do. You can have a bit of artistic licence with the wigets!

There's no reason why you can't do this. It'll be so cool to see one in that scale.

I imagine some ambitious builders might take your Y-Speeder to make a 1/7th scale Y wing.

Guys as far as the heads go... let me tally what I have on hand and I'll take care of those who just want a Y Wing head and NOT the speeder version.

I offered the head of the Y to Robert to do what he wants (make the Y Speeder) he has my permission to mold it and make a kit of the Speeder version of the Y Wing. It will match perfectly

Those of you who are scratching a Y or need Y Wing parts i have tubs of left over castings from the Studio Scale Y Wing kit run. I even have a few Y kits that will be available after my catch up run on back orders are done.

I know I have 7 kits done and 3 are due out so I'll have 4 on the block soon.. I am not going to take $$ for them now and was planning to JY them later. PM if you want a shot at them when i finally decide to sale them.

I am currenlty making TIE Wings and Interceptor wings for due out kits. If you are wanting a Y Head to make a speeder Id say wait for Robert's i'm sure it will kick ass! IF you want a Y head for a scratch build pm me... if you need parts pm me... questions... PM me.

I think the $150 price tag will be for the "speeder" version of the Y Wing head.

Yeah - I'd think a 1:1 Y-Wing head would be more along the lines of $50 - $75, depending on how much resin goes into it.
