Stormtrooper Belt help needed

I'm in the process of building a stormtrooper belt, which I hope to complete with a grappling hook and thermal detonator. I have a nice belt on the way, but I need the ammo pouch/armor piece for the front and I'm wondering if anyone has a decent vacuform mold or any 501st guys/gals would be willing to help out with that part. I'm also trying to figure out where to get or how to make a thermal detonator tube for the back of the belt and a grappling hook. I have tried looking around for resources for these parts but I haven't had much luck. Can anyone help point me in the right direction for any/all of the parts I need?

Well if you wanted you could make your own thermal detonator out of some pvc pipe, then you need two end caps and a control unit, the control unit you could make yourself out of styrene. Another way to go is to check ebay, alot of times armor makers sell spare parts from an fx kit, Ive seen detonators and belts on there before. Check out Imperial Quartermaster TK1336 he has said on his site if you were looking for an fx kit he would help so im sure hed be able to help with just the belt and detonator, you probably want the drop boxes too. The grappling hook...all I know about that is that the picture in the visual dictionary isnt the actual prop, its fan made so its not movie accurate, but hey who cares about that right? It seems both the grappling hook and the comlink were made from sink parts, if that helps at all.

Cool--I just contacted the Imperial Quartermaster LOL! Hopefully I'll get some good news back on the detonator and front panel. Grappling hook will have to wait, I guess, unless anyone else knows anything about this piece. I know the Visual Dictionary one is innaccurate and I'm more interested in a screen-accurate one.
