Storm Trooper Authentic?

Anyone know what to look for when it comes to authenticating a Storm Trooper outfit (excluding helmet) that was "used in filming"?

Finding reference from the specific movie, trying to match it to one of the costumes in the movie, contacting people who know original armor. Always remain skeptical regarding someone saying it's "used in filming". Whoever said it should be able to back it up.

Yeah this old guy i know, says he got it from a propmaker that worked at the studie in 1977 and he gave it to the old guy for payment.....So i have a written paper were the old guy states he got it from the propmaker....which due to it being so long time ago don't remember the name of.:thumbsup

As Apollo said, if good photos are shown, there are a number of experts here that would be able to ID an original set of armor almost instantly.

Yeah, the story is a bit.. "this guy, passed it on to this guy, and after being blessed by the pope, it ended up here... all documented in this hand written photocopy"

BUT. it looks pretty 'authentic' to my untrained eye. I'd say the age seems about right as the plastic has yellowed a bit (maybe from all the shenanigans in Tunisia/Tatooine)

I only have one pic atm, but I will hopefully be able to get some more this week.

That looks like an old armor Fx suit. Not even related to a cast from original suit. What a rip-off.

Looks like it is displayed in a party supply store window and there is a cheap rubies lightsaber in BG as well...the shoulder strap that is attached to the cod piece is missing on the left shoulder.
