A dream comes true and the MATSUCORP M41-A Pulse Rifle arrives.

Words fail me.

Waiting for a few more 'goodies' ;) to display this properly but here's a few rushed pics meanwhile. The "Bess Breen" (as I call it) colour was difficult to get right in these pics but I'll do it justice in due course...

Thanks Matsuo - all is well in the UK tonight. :) :) :)

That is just insane. Beautiful prop. I'd spoken to Matt awhile back about getting one built - we lost track of each other, which I regretted. Never moreso than after seeing your beautiful new PR. Congrats. :eek

Congrats Eagle. That is a beauty.

Can you give us details about the piece? Metal? Plastic? in particular, I'm curious about the SPAS cage. Is that metal? It seems to me Matt builds what you request.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers.

The barrel, barrel vent thingy, the joining plates and the extendable stock are all metal - the rest is resin and vac-formed plastic.

It's got a good heft and is very convincing. Must remember not to take it shopping.

That's great work, Matsuo's stuff always looks the business. Congrats I'm jealous. By the way was that thing ok to bring to the UK or did you get hit for the tax like I always seem to.?

I got whacked for taxes etc but no matter.

We beat the deadline by just a few hours - they're now illegal to import into the UK. :thumbsdown :thumbsdown :thumbsdown

Well it looks superb, fantastic, excellent, smashing..
Now I see why you want the Burke card. Bit of an Aliens fan maybe??

"We beat the deadline by just a few hours - they're now illegal to import into the UK."

And there I was just saving up to finally get a pulse rifle. B'stards.

Is that illegal importing thingy just built-up rifles or does it include kits as well?
In fact does it include all weapon props of this kind?

If I can ask where did you get that info from, wouldn't mind reading up on that.

John

I think kits will be ok (but I wouldn't bank on it).

What isn't ok is built replicas. Replicas being defined as 'anything that could be mistaken for a real firearm without close, expert examination'.

So the ban includes airsoft guns, plastic props, resin props, metal props, pop-guns, cap guns, spud guns... it's ridiculous.

There's some vague, wishy-washy info here: http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/c.../06010.i-v.html but a lot of it is out of date.

Thanks Eagle.

I have two kits 'on the way'. At least they MAY be safe.

It's ridiculous when they stop genuine collectors because some a-holes think they are real guns (and yes I can understand how real they can look).
Maybe they should bring in a licence type thing for collectors. Of course then we'd have to pay a licence fee.

Thanks again.

John
