I'm about to start building a republic Star Destroyer....i'm going to light it and add extra details....BUT!!!! I want to use Carlos Zadrangos' fantastic detail markings......my problem is, i've used printable decals before....but, no matter how many coats of clear acrylic i spray on to the inkjet printed decal sheets...i still end up with a bit of stretch/run.....:cry
Would anyone here be able to laser print this for me?
I'd obviously provide the paper and printing/shipping expenses...

help me Decal-Wan Kenobi.......:)

When you mean stretch/run, does that mean the image is smearing slightly? Clear coat will do that to inkjet printed decals if you put too much on. Print out the image on plain white paper, take it to Kinko's or anywhere else that has laser printers. You can get special blank decal paper on eBay that's made for laser printers. Just insert the blank decal paper in the tray with the correct side up and press start. I used to do this all the time before I got an ALPS printer. Some decal papers allow you to print with a laser printer, then release them in water without clearcoating. Others require you to spray a light coat (or two) of clear before releasing in water because those decal papers only have a thin glue layer. You are creating the clear layer with clear coat that holds the image together. The company I bought from was papilio. The paper was PAS/2, and it had the glue layer plus a clear layer. All you did was print with a laser printer or an ALPS, and you can just drop it in water. They recommended you print the image reversed, then you lay it down on the model upside-down to get the correct image. When you clearcoated over that, the image was not affected by the clear coat and stayed crisp and clear. Plus, you get a layer of scratch resistance with the clear layer on top. Good luck!
