the guns were just bought online and looked like this,

they were only about £10 each but I did have to add a few details.
as for the tape player I've settled on the base colours..

its looking ok, should be alright if you don't get too close. maybe place it high up on a bookcase or something.

Star lord Walkman - D.I.Y
I'm actually quite pleased how this has turned out, the orange headphones finish it off nicely. I had to paint the 'sony' logo and it's not great but if your only glancing at it then its ok.
Not sure what's next, maybe a star lord helmet? think that will be quite tricky and most off the cardboard ones I've seen don't seem quite right.
I really want to get a pair of drax's knives to mount on the wall but the only ones available are too expensive. can you make a half convincing knife out of cardboard/foamboard?
