Star Wars Modified DC-15 Blaster rifle help

I am new to scratch building and could use a few suggestions please. I am embarking on the building of a suit of Mandilorian armor. I have desided to start with the weapon. I am making a modified DC-15 blaster rifle and was hoping there would be some suggestions for an affordable way to make or scrounge a pistol handle for it. I have been looking at Nerf guns and airsoft guns and they seem to have small handles. Any constructive help is very appreciated. I will post photos as I go.

You can use MDF or other woods. You can make it to the shape you want.

My modified DC-15 so far. I found the wood for the grip and stock in a waist bin at the local wood supply and got it for free. Bought a scroll saw off Craig's list for $35. Any suggestions for me?

Thanks! I call it modified because I am using bits and pieces from around the house and garage and it won't look 100% like a DC-15 from the movies

The Stock and the trigger based on an WWII German mg-34 if you are going to be a little accurate.

There are some blueprints out there from wizzardofflight

If have used them for my DC-15 carbine build.

I really don´t have that much casts (anymore)
The MG34 grip was molded/ cast from a spare real one I had with the intention of using it on a CT carbine.

The offer for a visit at my small is still valid
