UPDATED pics of new display room on page 2, lots of pics on pages 3 and 4 too (as I add more things to the room I'll keep posting).

I think I posted this in the wrong forum originally. Here's the progress on my Bossk so far -- just missing some of the X-Wing parts, which are coming in the mail.

UPDATE: I've posted pics of the life-size collection (so far) on page 2, including the updated Bossk & bounty hunters.

Re: Bossk

That's all you got.

"Here is my awesome Bosk...have a nice day" :cool

How did you make the suit? It looks awesome. Love to hear more details.

Re: Bossk

I got lucky with the flightsuit - I found a yellow high-altitude suit on ebay for super cheap. The good part was that the fabric really looks appropriate, the bad news is that its incredibly tough to sew, which made adding the shoulder pleats, the patches, white fabric etc very painful on the fingers!
The black vest was another cheap ebay purchase, as was the vintage red vaccuum hose to go around his neck. For the Windak type chest metal parts, I spent hours in a hardware store that carries a lot of vintage airplane stuff. The woman who owns the shop was kind enough to spend her day helping me craft that stuff by assembling odds and ends. The head, hands and feet came from the UK, someone who was going to make a Bossk and never got around to it, so they were selling theirs. I believe it looks like Capt Speckys (sp?) work, maybe they got those from him originally.
The X-Wing parts are en route from Argentina, so I'm waiting to post final pics until they arrive. I still need to add the hose going from his belly to his back, and the yellow fabric that goes with it too (which will have to be sewn on). Lastly, some K-Y Jelly brushed onto the head, hands and feet to give it that slimy look without damaging the paint.

Re: Bossk

I've seen several versions of where the hose comes out of Bossk's back - everything from Sideshow busts, to costumes at Celebration. What's the official way to do it?

Re: Bossk

Here's an update on Bossk: Added the hose that goes from his belly to his back, here's a new photo so you can also see the feet. The one on the right is pulled down a bit so the mannequin stand can go into his calf.
So literally all that is missing is an upgraded flak jacket, leg flares, belt and harness. They should be arriving this week, tracking says they're in Miami customs...
You'll notice Zuckuss on the right, I'm just getting started with him - that'll be the next one I tackle. I added bubble wrap to his eyes today (just like they did in ESB!), it really makes the eyes look better.

Re: Bossk

Looks good.

Perhaps you should take the jumpsuit and leave it outside for the winter to weather it up some.

What about a Blaster?

Re: Bossk

It does need some grime, good call:)
The gun is a tough one, I believe the original was made from an anti-riot gun from the UK that isn't available? It would have to be custom made from scratch.

Re: Bossk

Looking great CM :)

The blaster is based on a Schermuly anti riot gun.
I have a deactivated coming within the next two weeks and plan a small run of these, if there´s enough interest.

VERY curious about the progress of the Zuckuss AND -being a blaster guy- how you tackle his rifle!? :)

Re: Bossk

Thanks OdiWan!
Yes, if you do a run of Schermuly's please count me in (no pun intended) - that would be great!
I emailed you as well.

Good question about Zuckuss's gun --- I haven't begun to worry about that part yet! Any idea what his gun was based on?
How tall do you think Zuckuss is anyway? 5 feet?

Re: Bossk

Don´t know about his height, sorry
Found an -albeit very small- picture of the ESB hunters side by side...maybe it helps with scaling?!

Reg. his blaster ...here´s the best pic I could find. Looks 100% cobbled together IMHO.
Even the wooden parts seem custom made, even if slightly similar to the Enfield No1 MK3, but with an extra 0.22 mag stuck in front of the enfield mag

Re: Bossk

Thanks Markus, that helps a lot!
I put Zuckuss on a shorter mannequin (and padded it out a bit). I wanted to get his basic size/shape done first. Here's a pic I found from Empire Strikes Back, and here's a new pic on the new mannquin. His chest straps/pouches are just temp for now, until I can get the proper ones sewn.
His hoses that connect to his head are up next, the plan is to take garden hose, wrap it in masking tape and paint it. Plan B is Skaught's painting latex onto the masking tape. I'm going to try a bicycle pump for his cannister, same treatment to it.

Re: Bossk & Zuckuss

Quick update -- the X-Wing parts finally arrived from Argentina. Bossk is *almost* done, just need to add the leg and belt aluminum flares and figure out how to attach the hose that goes into his back (going into the flak jacket seems weird to me).So what's new is - replaced flak jacket with one that has tubes inside each fold, added harness, belt, and leg flare holders. Here's a new pic:

Re: Bossk & Zuckuss

Here's a Zuckuss update: Got the belt, straps, front pouches etc all sewn. Still working on the hoses, bottles, back pouches. Also will be upgrading the bubble wrap to Skaught's eyes. New pic:

Re: Bounty Hunters (Bossk, Zuckuss, Dengar, IG-88, 4-LOM)

My goal here is to have all the bounty hunters together. Along with Bossk & Zuckuss, I'll be adding IG-88 and 4-LOM, who are being made by Dan Grumetz and Randy Johnson, respectively.
Here's a pic of IG-88 almost finished. As for Dengar, the armor kit has to be trimmed painted, etc. Just starting on him, but I thought it would be cool to have a silicone face for him (this is a modified Thug mask by SPFX). Here's a pic of that (still need to add stubble).
