Hi guys,

I don't know if this is appropriate posting this link, but ran across on ws.com they're offering a Star Trek The Wrath of Khan communicator, produced by Diamond Toys.

It even has a pre-recording of William Shatner yelling "KKHHAANN!" when you open it.

I figure if anything, it has a nice close-up shot of the toy to see some of the detail if anyone wants to create this or not (Man, this was such an ugly design )

I HATED that comm when I saw it on the big screen!! Later on as my prop buddies grew, I found out that the director actually walked into a production meeting with a Vietnam era military walkie-talkie and actually thought it would be a great idea for it to be the communicator!!! Fortunately the prop guys were able to reign that in a bit, but they figured they had to please the director somewhat, so knobs & dials were taken off the Walkie and used on the design you see in the film...
