Star Trek TOS how to pour the resin " gumdrops "

Im in the process of making a Star Trek TOS captains chair, sadly after several attempts of pouring resin in clay dome molds I did not get any decent molds of the TOS gumdrops for the arm consoles. Does anyone who has had experience with this know any household materials I can use to mold them. Maybe tin foil, and then sand them smooth ?

Any feedback is appreciated

If you're building a captains chair and you want it to look nice, you should do this the correct way. Go to Alumilite's website. You can also find quick-mold sets at Michael's from them for 30.00.

There are a million different places you can start with rubber and resin. I've used Alumilite for years without issue. Check out the videos on their site.
