Recently picked up a second EM-33 kit. I wanted to build one with the MACO color scheme to pair with my starfleet version:

Is it solid resin? Where did you get it? I've been looking for a quality accurate EM-33, I have the Maco version but always wanted the original too, ones I've seen on eBay don't look very good.

Yeah they're solid resin. They both came in 17 parts. All I did was post a 'searching for' topic on another forum and someone reached out who had a single spare kit. The first one I got 20 years ago and that mold has since worn out. They're out there but I don't know of anyone who's actually producing them anymore.

I've had one from what appears to be the same kit that has been half-finished for at least 20 years. Thanks for posting yours, because it's a great reminder to finish mine up!

MACO or starfleet? The way it comes in so many little parts makes them fun builds

I had been going for the Starfleet look (gray bits on black pistol) because when I got the kit they hadn't introduced the MACOs on the show yet. I used some less than awesome gray paint that needs a sand and repaint and it quickly became one of those frustrating kits that went back in the box. For 20 years. Please tell me I'm not the only one that has half-finished kits old enough to drink by this point... :p
