I have been on a Star Trek kick lately and was watching Star Trek VI and saw a prop I just had to make. It was the Blood sample that Chekov collected trying to find the 2 crewmen who murdered Gorkon.
Here is a screen cap:

and here ismy proof of concept, it is not a 100% screen accurate yet, will make it that way down the road when I have more cash to get the text screen printed. But this is not bad I think for being made with found items from around the house. here it is(sorry for the crappy pic):

The blood does match the ref pic but because of lighting it looks red on mine.
Let me know what you all think.

Not bad at all, and a pretty cool obscure prop to have!:cool

Re: ST VI: The Undiscovered Country Prop

I would suggest making a decal for the text using decal paper available at most office supply stores, it's pretty cheap.

That, or get some dry-transfer lettering from the arts & crafts / model railroad store.

Re: ST VI: The Undiscovered Country Prop

Huh? No, dry-transfer lettering is just a sheet of pre-printed letters & numbers - rub-on stuff, for art professionals.

My point was that it can be found in white, whereas you won't be able to print white with any normal printer.

Nice! I was just watching ST VI again the other night as well.
I like this medical instrument Chekov uses to analyze the bubblegum pink Klingon blood.
I doubt it's ever been built as a replica although who knows...

Oh, I wouldn't say THAT! ;)

I do have the lettering on the disk, but it wasn't on there at the time I took this pic.

That's pretty cool did you make it?
also here is a new blood sample...I printed it out on "window cling" then painted the graphics white. I also got the pepto color alot closer..lol

There's nothing on the disk besides the blood. At least not when I took that pic. I need to update the photo with the lettering.

Ha! Nah, I just like the wierd stuff that not everyone has. Makes me feel special that way
