Ok so I think you all know what this thread is mainly going to be about. The half Sonic. It looked to me like it was the whole sonic just without the slide and claws. Anyone have any screen caps?

I'm wondering if the broken sonic may lead to Smith getting a new design, maybe something a little less lightsaber-ish in size.
On another note, I LOVED the special and thought the story was very well written and as always a brilliant performance by Matt.
Can't wait for the new series - Spring can't come fast enough!!

No clue. I just happened to have the video file and decided to answer the call for screenshots.

I'm afraid I don't actually even like this sonic. I'm not sorry it was eaten, and I hope this allows for the design of a completely new and exciting piece. I'm looking forward to it.

Forget the fez, the Doctor wears Stetsons now. Stetsons are cool.

Personally, I'd like to see that photo of the Doctor singing the duet with Frank. Not even sure if they put any effort into that prop, but maybe one of us could shop up a good "what it might have looked like".

Was there anyone watching who didn't immediately think of Tom Baker when they saw that scarf? :lol

The broken sonic looked to me to have some sort of crystal sticking out, making it look even more like a lightsaber.

Maybe the death of that sonic (Cause if you noticed, he also left the broke half with them when he left) will lead to the River Song Sonic being brought out, or the first evolution of it?

I immediately laughed when I saw the scarves, especially since I was wearing my 12th season scarf.

I am also wondering if this is going to bring a new sonic.

I sincerely hope it does. I would love to see a River/10th Doctor style sonic come back.
