just thought i post what i'm working on. my cousin has a spiderman suit coming in, and since we couldn't find anyone selling face shells i tried to make one.
i got the idea from someone else's post, but i can't remember who it was.
it's a modified version of a display head (which can be found here: http://www.therpf.com/f24/eyeofsaurons-pep-files-iron-man-non-movie-151288/ ) which i scaled up to fit my cousins face.
after fiberglassing there was some warping, so we did some refitting today using a hair dryer to bend the shell back.
here are a few pics, and there are 3 with fabric over the mask to get an idea of how it'll look. i gotta work on the sharp/high edges still, especially the one running down the middle of the face, but i added my first layer of bondo today and will start sanding tomorrow.
