Spider-man homecoming web cartridges accurate dimensions

Does anyone know what the accurate size is for the web cartridges from homecoming, I've estimated it to about 6cm high and 1,6cm wide which I think is pretty close, but when in doubt ask the internet so if you've got anything drop a line

Bump. Surely someone can help?

305primus, if you download the web cartridge files from kenlandrum's thread, you might be able to open them in some 3D modelling software to get the measurements, but I'm not sure. [emoji848] Worth a try, perhaps?

No problems. Let me know how it goes (I just know how it feels to ask a question and get hundreds of views with no replies, so I'm glad I was able to help at least slightly)

Hey I downloaded Ken's file but being the technical wizard that I am (sarcastic tone) I wasn't couldn't figure out how to get any measurements out of it so I just went ahead and made according to my approximations but thank you for the suggestion I'm sure it would have worked I I knew anything about 3d models[emoji23] I'll post some pics tomorrow of the finished product

If you could let me know which of the files you downloaded, I'll happily download them myself to get the measurements. It shouldn't take too long and won't be a bother for me at all

That would be awesome, I used the one from the V3 webshooters on Ken's free MCU spider-man thread

Okay, I downloaded kenlandrum's file and according to the software I have, each cartridge is 6.5cm x 1.9cm x 0.8cm, so I'd say you were pretty close. Can't wait to see photos of the finished cartridge. :)

EDIT: I just realised, if you use the links in kenlandrum's thread to find the files on Shapeways, there's a section that tells you how big the pieces are without having to open them in any software [emoji849]

Wish I had thought of checking shapeways lol but since I were so close I probably won't remake them, here the finished product, made 6 of them in total to go on the belt of the suit might have used a little too much silver but I think it looks pretty good

Thanks again for all your help

No problem. I agree the measurements are so close that there isn't any point in remaking them (you wouldn't even notice the difference anyway) Those cartridges look awesome! What did you use to make them (and do you have any plans for the shooters after)?

I used a sheet of 1mm thick clear plastic I had laying around, stacking pieces together to get some thickness to it the main body (black part) is 2 layers, the tips (red part) is 4 layers on top of the black, and the sides (silver) are single layer strips so it was a pretty simple build

So far I don't know if I'll make a pair of web shooters I'm leaning more against buying a pair but I may just make my own just to see how they would turn out
