Spider Gwen - Fixing premade zentai suit

I purchased a Spidergwen zentai suit of Amazon for Halloween and was not entirely happy with it. I have been unable to find a suit similar in price to the one I ordered that looks like it would have the stuff I want. I have never done any sort of cosplay or costume making before and want to see if I can fix some of the issues I have or if I will just ruin it.

Basically the suit has red in the hood and underarm areas and I was really hoping to find one that was closer to the pink/magenta color on the comic covers. This wouldn't be a big deal, but there is also a weird black spot under each of the armpits that looks like either a sweat stain or hairy arm pits.

I saw a YouTube video about using dragon skin latex on spidey suits but I think this would be too stiff for the areas in question. I also thought about using fabric paint, but I didn't know if a pink would be able to cover the darker colors I want to cover up. Additionally since it's in the armpits, I wouldn't be able to wear it and paint it at the same time (at least not my right armpit) and I don't have someone else a similar size to me I could get to wear it while I paint. I've done castings of arms with saran wrap, tape and spray insulation before but I don't know how that would work at a big joint like the shoulder for stuffing it while I paint.

I'm looking to see if anyone has any suggestions or alternate solutions. I'm trying not to spend too much money since this is just a Halloween costume.

I'd also be interested in any suggestions for the gradient pink glow around the lenses.

Edit to add Photos:

First one shows the color difference between the mask that came with the suit, the second 2 show the dark spot in the arm pits.

See if you have a friend that can help you paint the area. I'm not sure if bleach will be able to take the color out of that area depending on the material. What I suggest is not using pink to try and cover the dark, but dabbing white to brighten the red to a pinkish hue. it's like a trick where the white and red will blend together through vision to create a pink instead of actually making pink.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure if that will work for the dark spots but it seems easier than trying to get an opaque layer of pink. I'll add pictures when I get home from work.

Experiment with Fabric Paint for Synthetics. Buy similar material from fabric store (swatches) and experiment with the various colors. I'd get red, black, white, and pink to mix and test colors.
