It has been updated. I'm back in the US and A, and have managed to put in a couple good hours of R2 work. Nothing really spectacular, but the inexorable crawl towards completion continues.

Please...please..please...forgive me if my post is off task but I am trying to email you about your blog.

I tried following your email protocol as you instructed...

I included the EXACT subject line: 'Matt's R2 Blog".

In the body of the email, as you instructed, I included my full name, with last name first and first name last. (I know how much you hate it when it is done any other way) Then my RPF screen name, blood type, and a scan of my latest photo ID.

I know you stated you would delete my email without hesitation if I did not also include payment information listed exactly 2 carriage returns below my photo ID...so I made sure I did that right.

So what gives?

Oh...and I have some great reference photos of my R2 that may help with your R2 build up but I will of course start my own thread and post my pics there. It would be rude for me to post them here...on this R2 Building thread that you started.

well, SOMEONE has got to suffer for my art! Might as well be them.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. It's really great to be back in the US, and working on my R2. I TOTALLY had a momentum breakdown for about a month, but I'm feeling like I'm back on track now. I did another few hours of painting and stuff today.

Oh, blog updated today, mind you.

I think the bummer with all the sanding and primering stuff is that it's just so UN sexy. Designing and engineering support mechanisms for the drive system is something that gets all cylinders firing. Primering and sanding?? Not so much.

But I just want to get the guy finished at this point, so if it means being unsexy, i'll do what I have to.

And please, nobody quote me on that or use it in your signature
