I dunno. With the right dialog and casting, I think they could pull this off. Maybe Pauly Shore as the puckish captain of the Mystery Ship (or the 30 point alien). it writes itself really.

There is no such thing as a bad idea, just poor execution of that idea. There have been great stories inspired by the smallest of things. I'll save judgement until the film comes out.

I could write the **** out of a TETRIS story. An unstoppable cascade of shapes thrown at a hero by an uncaring, unseen force who needs to stack well or his very life is forfeit?
