Sokka's weapon from Avatar The Last Airbender

Hi Everyone,
I recently built a real returning Sokka boomerang. I build returning boomerangs for a living and recently built the weapon from the movie Avatar The Last Airbender. It can be thrown and returns to the thrower. It is made completley out of 10 ply 5mm aircraft finish birch. This is a video of it's flight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAm9nCeyfwM

Hice but wouldn't be mad elf a heavier wood ? Also there are other weapons that he uses also like the Jaw Knife. Now that would be something to make

It could be made with heavier wood but that would just increase how far it flew out. Too heavy and it would not return to the thrower. Did you see the video flight?

Yes I did. I was thinking of like a hunting boomerang.Not to confuse anyone
