Snowtrooper backpack

Has anyone tried to make a Snowtrooper backpack? I have a kit that is awful. I am thinking of using the pieces as a template and making one myself but have never tried something like this. Sandtrooper backpacks are easy to make but this one is more of a challenge to me. Any ideas?

Studiocreations has a brief tutorial on their site. The backpack is pretty straight-forward as far as design goes. Only difficult parts would be the detail in the side plates. There are two good makers currently active though so unless you're deadset on making your own I'd recommend just picking up a better suit.

Even a good kit is difficult to put together especially since the sides are on the inside.
You need to cut a hole in the back so you can get your hand in there while gluing and it's a good idea to attach the sides to the face (detailed part) than add the back, preferably with some PVC pipe or styrene strips inside than putty the seam on the top and bottom.

Everything else from the stuff I have is in good shape so I am sticking with it.

Jack, I have seen your site and my pack looks like what yours did. I might just follow your steps and hope for the best.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I am still thinking about my options.

If he's got a pack like mine then it's probably and Atin_Miller set as he's the one who currently has those molds.

I got it off ebay 2 years ago and am finally getting around to it. Duster and boots are on the way. I do not remember who I got it from but I got a good deal on it. Got a fiberglass helmet and its almost finished. Still tempted to try the heat gun on it but am a little nervous about using it.

If the backpack is styrene then it's Atin_Miller, if it's fiberglass then it's Smallblock. Either way you've got some work ahead of you.
