Smuggler's Run Ceiling Light

Holy moly.. a used one on eBay is 2000 o_O
It is because these are industrial lights designed for hazardous locations like chemical plants. I work in that industry so I recognized these immediately. I do think it is possible to find STEP files from the manufacturer of these lights. It is pretty common for industrial manufacturers like these to have libraries of STEP files of their products so designers can use them in their designs for industrial facilities.

Lol I just modeled it lol. Man if I only saw your reply first

Thanks for that information! That totally makes sense!

First, my deep thanks and gratitude to everyone who helped identify this light fixture, and get it all the way to modeling it. Now.... HOLY CRAP THAT IS SOOOO COOL!!!!!!

I am, and have been, in the process of saving up for an AVID CNC. When that day comes, I'd be willing to throw some aluminum in it and see if the light can be machined out of the real deal material. If the modeling is accurate, do you think that would be possible? Mostly, I'm looking at the intricate spaces, such as the fins.

Also, would you, Triin or JesseM, be willing to model the lower half so that we could open it up and put the electronics inside?

The model I made is only partly accurate. I did model it in attachable sections as the real one is assembled. The PDF only included the rough dimensions of the overall light and anything such as the fins, some detail sections and extrusions, were completely absent. So basically, What I have made is a dimentionally accurate idealized version. The rear cover will be seperate and hollow as well . I intend to have a channel routed for wiring etc. I still need to print it to make sure overall the part is similar and the mockup / model is printable / cnc'able.

I was able to get CoSpec to work for me from the website. I downloaded the STEP files for the 2' and 4' versions of the light. You should be able to do whatever you want to these models.
