SL ANH Vader Helmet: Finished Version :)

I forget the tiny aspects in the dome shape, they kinda pop out at you on this one:thumbsup

They certainly do the lines are so crisp on the dome.

The Y crease hasn't shown up in the photos due to the lighting but it is very clean and sharp on the SL. Any other ANH Y crease I have seen has been cleaned up.

Great lid :)

I'm almost fixated on getting a helmet with that detail as it should be...Oh, great, I'm becoming a Vader costume fan:eek

As I mentioned on the Den, the mask was mounted on a cylindrical heating duct...so you are seeing the ribs of the duct through the lenses...funny how that gets some interest. :lol

Nice!

So what is behind the eyes giving the stipe effect?

More pics are always good.

I'm gonna guess that there are no lenses in there, so it is the inside of the mask/helmet we are seeing.

Edit: Gah, got it in too late.

Thanks. It was just a distracting detail....I typically add a piece of black fabric in the helmet to hide things like the stand, possible thought for the next round of shots. :love

Looks like venetian blinds to me. Maybe Vader doesn't want anyone to know he's "home" if you catch my drift??? LOL

seriously.........you're looking at lenses on this helmet???.........really?????? HE HE

Hey Tom, tell your pinhead photographer that we want them to take new pics so we can't see what's inside, or dust for that matter. I paid good money to see some quality photographs and that's what I want. Jeesh, some people. Further, tell him to get a new camera. His old one appears to be outdated. And what's with the paint smudges on the mask??? That left cheek is flawed. One of the tusks is darker than the other. And the painjob looks like a checkerboard. If George Lucas saw a helmet like this in one of his films, he'd bust a nut!!! Then saw it in half, mirror image it and teach all you people a lesson in quality control.

I kid, I kid!!!!!! :)

Ah crud, what?! I just spent 6 hours repainting my helmet to make sure my lenses had stripes!!

Those aren't really polka dots...........Dave Prowse had a head cold on the set of Jedi........and well, you can figure out the rest......

Actually...everyone knows the helmet was lined with red velvet and light would reflect off his eyelashes....it was a 70's thing.

Fortunately they fixed it the SE.
